A new family Home in Lario, Leon

At the foot of the rural core, facing south like a balcony, almost oblivious to everything that surrounds it, this house stands open to the landscape of the Riaño Mountains.

The strategy is to to offer the owners an open and flexible space as well as two different areas for their personal growth. Mrs. F. likes to craft different objects and Mr. G. likes to build metal sculptures. The volume and programme respond to orientation, the landscape and the context.

A band to the north encloses all the fixed installations, and creates a very closed façade towards the rural core.

A large flexible space is generated, facing south and open to the landscape, which can be freely transformed.
